In the beginning, I thought I would place work-in-progress here, but that seems to be a step in the wrong direction. There's more than enough bad, first-draft writing out there. You don't need mine. But I do have a lovely title for something I am working on intermitently--John Lennon's Chair.

Later, I had hoped to write a smart, engaging blog about the writing process but I see the web is full of that kind of stuff and one more would be one more too many. Besides, I just don't seem to have the time expecially since the "private edit" part of my activities seems to have taken off. I am presently doing three of them and they require the same attention to detail as editing for a publisher (which I also do) and are equally time-consuming. (Now here I must interject in a bloggy sort of way that I really am not certain that "time-consuming" should be hyphenated, but as a single idea, it should be a single word, or so it seems to me. I do, however, stand to be corrected if needs be.)

Suffice it to say, this space may remain pretty much as it is--blank. Unless I am hit with a brainstorm and need lots of feedback.

Thanks, Rod
